This discount is available only to NARI members whose dues are current on the date the magazine enters print production. Nonprofit DiscountsRecognized nonprofit organizations are eligible for a 15% discount on space, color and position provided the account is paid within 45 days of the invoice date. No other discounts are allowed. Production RequirementsPrinting: Sheet-fed Paper Stocks: 80 lb. gross Binding: Saddle stitch Screens: 133/150 lines preferred Materials Required: Electronic materials are preferred. See guidelines below for more information. Film for black and white and two-color ads must be supplied on original screened offset negatives, right reading, emulsion side down, or camera-ready copy. Four color ads require four original screened negatives, accompanied by a Cromalin or Matchprint. There will be a charge for all ads that are to be set by the publisher. Guidelines for Electronic Ads: We accept hi-res (minimum of 300dpi) EPS, TIFF, PSD or QXD files. If possible, files should be created in Macintosh. We can convert PC files, but see note below regarding fonts. We cannot accept MS Word Perfect or MS Publisher files. Fonts: We need both printer and screen fonts (if submitting postscript fonts) to process the ad (we also accept TrueType fonts). We also need the fonts that are embedded in your graphics. When files are submitted in PC format, we will do one of the following (in order of preference) 1)use a Macintosh version of the same font if we have it. 2)convert provided PC fonts to Macintosh format 3)match the font as closely as possible, but we cannot guarantee an exact match. Graphics: Please send all imposed graphics that are in the ad. We are unable to process the ad without these. Black and white and color scans should be saved in TIFF or EPS format, minimum 266 dpi and placed in Quark at 100%. Color scans should be saved in CMYK mode. Color: Please indicate whether an ad is to run black and white, spot color or 4C and create the file accordingly. Documentation: Laser prints of your ad must match files and be sized at 100%. All color ads also must be accompanied by a Matchprint or Iris proof. We accept Jaz, Zip and CDs. E-mailed ads should come as a single zipped file. Advertiser's name must appear on all materials. Disposition of Material: Reproduction materials will be held one year from date of last insertion and then destroyed.
